frequently asked questions
i'm interested in booking! how do we reserve our date?
You can reach out through my contact form (linked to the button below!) or email me directly. We'll schedule a free consultation call to discuss your vision, preferred dates, and any questions you have. Please note that a signed contract and retainer fee of 33% of your session cost paid upon signing are required to reserve your date.
how far in advance should we book our session?
I recommend booking at least 4 to 6 weeks in advance to ensure availability, especially during peak seasons (Spring and Fall!) If you are interested in scheduling a session outside of New York State, I recommend scheduling even earlier than this for appropriate travel accommodations to be made. However, don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re on a shorter timeline since I occasionally will have openings!
do you travel for engagement sessions?
Yes! I regularly travel for sessions, and I love photographing couples in new places. Travel within an hour of my location (Rochester, NY) is included in the Classic and Signature packages. If your location is farther out, travel costs (typically mileage) will be added to your invoice.
can i purchase more photos than what's included in the package we chose?
Yes! I offer additional edited images or full gallery upgrades for an added fee. You’ll receive a proofing gallery to choose your favorites if your package includes a limited selection.
do you offer discounts for fellow grad students or other professionals in training?
I totally get the financial constraints of academic and early-career life! The Professional Student Special was designed with you in mind, but feel free to reach out during our consult if you’d like to talk more. I occasionally offer discounted rates for fellow students.
do the clients choose the location?
Yes! I’m happy to shoot at a meaningful spot for you, or I can suggest beautiful, reliable locations based on your style and lighting preferences.
can we change outfits during the session?
Yes! Outfit changes are already included in the Signature Engagement Experience package, but you’re welcome to bring a second look if you book the Classic session (just know that time is limited, so we’ll need to plan accordingly!)
