"Lauren is an absolute joy to work with. She’s extremely flexible and creative with her photography and was able to work with my wife and I even while we were states away. Her turnaround time was also amazing. She’s a wonderful photographer and a wonderful human being whose upbeat personality made our wedding photo experience outstanding."
"Lauren is such a lovely person to work with! She’s patient and efficient and captured so many lovely moments in such a short period of time. She is so, so creative and has such a great eye for compositions, lighting, posing, etc. — every single photo she captured of my husband and I’s big day looks absolutely spectacular! We are so grateful that she was able to be part of such a special part of our lives and capture it so brilliantly."

we're interested in booking! how do we reserve our date?
You can reach out through my contact form (linked to the button below!) or email me directly to confirm my availability and request a contract mockup. We'll schedule a free consultation call to discuss your vision and any questions you have. Please note that a signed contract and retainer fee of 33% of your session cost paid upon signing are required to reserve your date.
how far in advance should we reserve our date?
I recommend reaching out 9-12 months in advance for peak wedding season (April through October), especially if your date is on a weekend. That said, I occasionally have last-minute availability and love spontaneous celebration, so even if your wedding is sooner, feel free to get in touch!
what information should we share with you upfront about our wedding?
The more I know early on, the better I can serve you. It’s helpful to share your wedding date, location(s), estimated guest count, and a rough idea of your timeline. Beyond logistics, I also love hearing about your vision, priorities, and any nontraditional elements. For example, are you skipping a first look, incorporating cultural traditions, or eloping in the woods with just a few people? All of that helps me tailor my approach to your day. I also looooove a Pinterest inspiration board!
can you tell me more about the base package?
You’ll receive 6 hours of wedding day coverage from me (your lead and only photographer), 400+ edited high-resolution images, a private online gallery, and planning consultations. You’ll also get a small (100 image) preview gallery within 2 weeks, and your full gallery will be delivered within 8-9 weeks. I often send additional previews along the way as I find gems in your gallery that I can't help but share!
can i add more time if my wedding day schedule changes?
Absolutely! To give a few examples, previous clients have requested additional time in the morning to capture the bridal party getting ready and additional time at the end of the night for more reception photos and the couple's departure from the venue. Additional hours can be added before or on the day of your wedding for an additional $250/hour. Please note that extra time must be paid before gallery delivery.
how do travel fees work?
I regularly travel for sessions, and I love photographing couples in new places. Travel within 1 hour of Rochester, NY is included in the base wedding package. For locations beyond that, I charge for the round-trip flight (if only flying distance) and gas mileage (if driving distance) and - if necessary - an overnight stay. For example, if you want to book with me for a wedding in Charlotte, North Carolina, your total cost would be the base package ($1500 USD) plus the cost of a round-trip flight from Rochester and lodging accommodations (hotel, AirBNB) for the weekend. I’m happy to give a travel estimate during your initial inquiry.
how often can we meet before our wedding day?
As much as you need! The base package includes virtual or in-person consultations with you, your wedding planner, and anyone else I should talk to (e.g. the maid of honor, the videographer, etc.) in the months leading up to the wedding regarding your vision, preferences, and customizations.
do you shoot with multiple photographers?
I am a solo photographer, and I specialize in intimate and meaningful weddings, elopements, and smaller celebrations. I’ve found that solo coverage allows me to stay unobtrusive, intentional, and connected with the couple and their story! If you’re planning a large wedding or require multi-angle coverage, I’m happy to recommend trusted teams who work with second shooters.
what is the timeline for getting our photos back?
I deliver a "first look" (~5-10 images) within 48 hours of your wedding day, a preview gallery (~100 images) within 2 weeks, and the full gallery (~400 images) within 8-9 weeks.
do you offer videography services?
Unfortunately, no! This is outside of my wheelhouse and I can't simultaneously attend to both photo and video coverage as one individual. :-)
why is your pricing lower than many other wedding photographers i've seen?
This is an important question! I’ve photographed many weddings over the years, and I bring professionalism, experience, and care to every couple I work with. That said, I intentionally keep my pricing more accessible, especially for fellow grad students, early-career professionals, and folks in academia or medicine, where I know firsthand how budgets can be tight. I also keep my gear and editing style relatively simple, and I work solo without a second shooter or a big production team. So while I aim to deliver authentic, emotional, and well-composed images, my work isn’t meant to feel “luxury” or overly cinematic. If you're looking for honest storytelling with a down-to-earth approach, I might be a good fit. :-)
do you photograph queer weddings, nontraditional weddings, or remarriages?
Absolutely. I warmly welcome queer couples, nontraditional partnerships, remarriages, and anyone writing their own rules when it comes to love and celebration. My role is to document your day with honesty, care, and respect without assumption or judgment.
can we request to not have our gallery shared publicly?
Of course! While I usually share highlights on my website and social media, I absolutely respect your privacy. Just let me know in writing if you prefer to keep your gallery private.
please reach out to me with anything else that's on your mind as you make your decision!
